Framework Description
Academic Integrity and Assessment Management Systems is an APUC framework agreement for software that universities and colleges use to check the originality of student work and to run assessment processes. It has two lots, one for academic integrity systems and one for assessment management systems, each including associated services. The framework runs to 14 November 2027, with an option to extend by 12 months to 14 November 2028. This framework is used by APUC, SUPC and NWUPC.
Context & Use Case
Registry, quality and digital education teams in APUC member institutions use it when renewing similarity-checking tools or moving submission, marking and feedback onto a single platform. These are usually multi-year software contracts, so integration with the virtual learning environment and student records system is normally a key requirement. Each lot includes associated services, so implementation and support can be bought alongside the licence.

Who Can Apply
Suits edtech vendors offering similarity checking, e-assessment, online exams or marking and feedback platforms, plus their implementation partners. Applications for this framework are closed, so suppliers not already appointed cannot join until APUC re-tenders it, likely ahead of 14 November 2027 or a year later if the extension is used.
Buyer Benefits
Institutions buying integrity and assessment software need evidence on data protection, accessibility and student-record integration before committing to a multi-year licence. A framework where suppliers have already been evaluated lets them focus on functional fit, and the two lots mean an institution can source integrity checking and assessment management together or separately.
Next Steps
Appointed suppliers should brief member institutions on their lot and be ready for mini-competitions as current licences come up for renewal. Others should read the original notice on Public Contracts Scotland (APR503922), note how quality and price were weighted, and prepare accessibility, security and integration evidence well before the re-tender expected in late 2027 or 2028.
How Athena Can Help
Software call-offs are often won on demonstrations and integration answers. For appointed suppliers, Athena's bid writing and win themes work turns product features into evidence that scores against each institution's criteria.
If you are not yet on either lot, we can prepare your submission for the re-tender through our framework application support. Our advice on public sector bids also covers pricing multi-year licences so they win without eroding your margin.
