Framework Description
APUC's Cleaning & Janitorial Products framework covers the supply of janitorial consumables and period products to universities and colleges. It has two lots: Lot 1 for janitorial products and Lot 2 for period products. The framework runs to 1 September 2028, with an option to extend by 24 months to 1 September 2030. Suppliers were appointed by tender and the list is fixed for the term.
Context & Use Case
Estates, cleaning and facilities teams use Lot 1 to keep buildings stocked with cleaning chemicals, paper and washroom consumables. Lot 2 supports institutions in providing free period products, which Scottish colleges and universities must do under the Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act 2021. Both lots involve frequent, high-volume deliveries to many buildings.

Who Can Apply
Suits janitorial wholesalers and distributors, and manufacturers or suppliers of period products. Applications for this framework are closed, so suppliers not already appointed cannot join until APUC re-tenders it, likely before 1 September 2028 or, if the extension is used, 2030.
