Framework Description
Promotional Merchandise is a framework let by NWUPC (North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium). It covers branded goods such as stationery, clothing, reusable products, tech accessories and gifts. It is a fixed framework rather than a DPS, and it ends on 30 April 2027 without an extension. This framework is used by NWUPC, APUC and SUPC.
Context & Use Case
Marketing, student recruitment, alumni and events teams use it for branded items at open days, freshers' events, graduations and conferences. APUC lists it in its catalogue as OFF3174 NW, so Scottish institutions can order through the NWUPC arrangement. Reusable and eco-friendly lines sit alongside traditional branded stationery, clothing and gifts.
Scope of Services
Branded stationery such as pens, notepads and folders Apparel including t-shirts, hoodies and caps Eco-friendly products such as reusable bottles and bags Technology accessories such as USB drives and power banks Customised gifts for events and ceremonies

Who Can Apply
Suits promotional merchandise distributors, branded clothing firms and printers of branded goods, including SMEs with ethical or sustainable ranges. Applications for this framework are closed and it ends on 30 April 2027 without an extension, so NWUPC's re-tender is the next way in.
Buyer Benefits
Institutions can order branded items quickly for events without a quote process, from suppliers already checked on quality and brand handling through NWUPC's tender. Agreed terms on sustainable ranges help them meet environmental commitments, and one consistent route covers the many small orders that marketing and events teams place each year.
Next Steps
Watch NWUPC's notices for the replacement, likely before 30 April 2027. Prepare evidence on ethical sourcing, sustainable product ranges, artwork proofing, lead times for event deadlines and university or public sector clients. Appointed suppliers should log delivery and sustainability results for the re-tender.
