Property Maintenance and Refurbishment

Live

Framework Description

Property Maintenance and Refurbishment is a framework let by Scotland Excel and made available to APUC member institutions (Public Contracts Scotland ref. NOV491920). It has 15 trade-based lots, from bathrooms, kitchens and electrical work to roofing, renewables and multi-trades. Applications for this framework are closed (it is not a DPS), and it ends on 15 June 2027 with no extension option.

Context & Use Case

Scotland Excel let it for the Scottish public sector, and it suits universities and colleges for work on student residences and other buildings: kitchen and bathroom upgrades, window replacements, roofing and heating. The renewables lot supports net-zero projects such as heat pumps and solar panels. Trade lots let estates teams appoint specialists, while the multi-trades lot covers mixed works.

Who Can Apply

Suits building trades contractors across Scotland, from single-trade SMEs to multi-trade firms and renewables installers. Applications for this framework are closed, and with no extension beyond 15 June 2027, Scotland Excel's re-tender is the next way in.

Buyer Benefits

Estates teams can appoint contractors already assessed by Scotland Excel without running their own tender, which speeds up summer works in residences between student lets. Trade-specific lots give access to specialists, while the renewables lot provides a direct route for decarbonisation projects.

Next Steps
