Framework Description
This APUC framework covers management systems for university student accommodation, conferences and events, delivered catering and hotels, plus associated services, across five lots including a multi-functional system. Applications for this framework are closed (it is not a DPS), and it ends on 7 November 2026 with no extension option, leaving only weeks of its term to run. This framework is used by APUC, SUPC and NWUPC.
Context & Use Case
Universities and colleges with halls of residence, conference business, catering operations or campus hotels use it to replace or upgrade the software behind bookings, allocations and occupancy. Institutions running several of these services can buy one multi-functional system instead of separate products. Accommodation and conference offices are the usual users, with IT teams involved in integration.

Who Can Apply
Suppliers cannot join this framework, and no new call-offs can be made after it ends on 7 November 2026. Accommodation, events, catering and hotel software vendors should look for APUC's replacement procurement, which is the next way into this market.
Buyer Benefits
Accommodation and conference teams need systems that handle bookings, allocations and occupancy in one place, especially where summer conference trade uses the same rooms as students. Buying from pre-assessed vendors through APUC cuts selection time for complex software that touches several departments.
Next Steps
With the framework ending on 7 November 2026, check Public Contracts Scotland and APUC's notices now for the replacement; the current notice is MAR472802. Incumbents should finish live call-offs and gather references. Other vendors should prepare product demonstrations, integration case studies and pricing models for each lot they plan to target.
How Athena Can Help
The replacement for this framework is the next real opening for student accommodation and events software vendors, and it is close. Athena's help registering for frameworks covers APUC's timetable and the selection stage, while our public sector bidding guidance helps you decide which of the five lots to target.
Our bid management specialists then develop win themes, model your score against rival vendors and check compliance before you submit. We can also help prepare product demonstrations if the tender includes them.
