Framework Description
Vehicle Lease (RM6268) is a Government Commercial Agency framework, formerly a Crown Commercial Service agreement, that APUC lists for Scottish universities and colleges. It covers vehicle leasing for the UK public sector. Applications for this framework are closed (it is not a DPS), and it runs from 16 May 2023 to 15 February 2027 with no extension, so its replacement is close.
Context & Use Case
Public bodies across the UK, including universities and colleges, use it to lease vehicles for fleet, estates and other operational needs. Leasing through a national framework gives access to agreed rates and terms without a tender of their own. APUC lists it in its catalogue under the Government Commercial Agency reference RM6268, so members can use it alongside sector agreements.

Who Can Apply
Applications for RM6268 are closed, and it ends on 15 February 2027. Leasing companies and fleet providers that want public sector work should look for the Government Commercial Agency's successor agreement and prepare for it now.
Buyer Benefits
Buyers get pre-agreed lease rates and terms, which avoids negotiating each lease and makes fleet costs easier to plan. A national agreement gives smaller organisations, such as single colleges, access to terms competed at scale, and it spares each buyer a regulated procurement of its own.
Next Steps
Use APUC's framework catalogue and the Government Commercial Agency's RM6268 page to review the agreement. With the term ending on 15 February 2027, check the agency's pipeline for the replacement and prepare evidence on vehicle range, electric fleet support, pricing and public sector account management.
