Each session includes a computer-based written test of about three hours and a 15-minute speaking test conducted online. Sessions usually start at 9am or 1pm, can run on any day of the week, and Saturdays are especially popular with candidates.

Buyer Benefits
Partner venues let the British Council offer more test dates and locations without investing in its own premises. Buyers will value secure and reliable IT, flexible availability including weekends, accessible city-centre locations and staff who follow test security procedures carefully.
Next Steps
Read notice 019761-2024 and register on the e-tendering system it links to. Check your rooms, computers and connectivity against the British Council's quality and security standards, and confirm which days and sessions you could offer. Prepare evidence of facilities and security procedures, then apply. Once admitted, expect to agree session schedules with the British Council in Italy.
How Athena Can Help
Venue providers rarely bid for UK public sector work, so the application process can feel unfamiliar. Athena's help joining this DPS covers the selection questions, security evidence and documents the British Council expects, checked for compliance before you submit.
Our bid writing expertise helps present your facilities and availability clearly, and our advice on UK public tenders can show where similar venue or testing opportunities arise, and whether they are worth bidding for.
