Framework Description
Caerphilly County Borough Council's Taxis, Minibus and Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles Dynamic Purchasing System buys transport services for the Council (Find a Tender notice 019301-2024). It is used mainly by the Integrated Transport Unit but is open to any Council department. It runs to 30 June 2034, may be extended by up to five years, and is run under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
Context & Use Case
The Integrated Transport Unit uses the DPS to arrange passenger transport, and other departments use it when they need taxis or minibuses. Routes and jobs are let through competitions among admitted operators. Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are needed for passengers with mobility needs, and bespoke transport requirements that arise during the life of the DPS can also be met.
