CHIC Decoration Works Framework
Framework Description
CHIC's Decoration Works framework gives housing members a single-lot route to 26 appointed decorating contractors. It covers cyclical and responsive decoration, void works and related services on residential and other property types. It was awarded on 8 December 2025 and runs until 7 December 2029, with no extension. Members across CHIC's national membership can use it.
Context & Use Case
Landlords use it for cyclical painting of homes and communal areas, quick void decoration before re-letting and responsive redecoration after repairs. Contractors prepare, repair, paint, decorate and clean internal and external surfaces in occupied and empty homes, specialist housing and commercial and public buildings. Members call off by mini-competition or direct award, with national coverage across the UK.

Who Can Apply
Painting and decorating contractors experienced in occupied social housing and void turnaround. Applications for this framework are closed, with 26 contractors appointed, so others cannot join until it is re-tendered, around 7 December 2029.

Fast void decoration shortens the time homes stand empty and losing rent, so landlords value contractors who turn work round quickly. The framework lets them appoint those contractors, or run cyclical programmes, without a full tender, and planned decoration helps them protect building components and plan investment over the long term.
