Framework Description
F/102 is a national framework for mental health and wellbeing services, set up under the Provider Selection Regime by Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Commissioners can buy talking therapies, digital mental health, workforce wellbeing and other services through it, delivered virtually or in person, until 8 September 2029.
Context & Use Case
NHS organisations and ICBs use F/102 to add mental health capacity where waiting lists are long, including talking therapies for patients and youth mental health support. Trusts can also use it to support their own staff through workforce wellbeing programmes. Both digital and face-to-face models are available, giving buyers flexibility on reach and cost.

Who Can Apply
Suits talking therapy providers, digital mental health platforms and workforce wellbeing providers with a qualified clinical workforce and NHS experience. F/102 is closed to new applications, so those not already appointed should prepare for the re-tender, likely around 8 September 2029.
Buyer Benefits
Mental health demand is high, and commissioners need extra capacity they can buy compliantly. F/102 gives them pre-qualified providers under the Provider Selection Regime. Buyers value clinical governance, outcome measures such as recovery rates, accessible digital options and staff wellbeing offers that reduce sickness absence.
Next Steps
Appointed providers should identify ICBs and trusts with long therapy waits or staff wellbeing priorities, and be ready for call-offs. Others should prepare clinical governance documents, outcome data, staff qualifications and NHS references for the re-tender, and look for ICB tenders for mental health services in the meantime.
How Athena Can Help
Mental health providers often have strong outcomes but struggle to present them in NHS bid formats. Athena's mental health bid writing helps you show recovery rates, governance and access in a way evaluators can score.
Our framework applications for health providers cover the F/102 re-tender and similar routes, and our Provider Selection Regime advice helps you understand how ICBs choose providers under it. We also check clinical governance evidence before submission so nothing is lost on compliance.
