Framework Description
F/105 is a national framework for prescription hub services, set up under the Provider Selection Regime by Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. It covers centralised repeat prescriptions and specialist advice for people who use stoma, catheter and continence products. It is in force until 10 September 2029. Hubs combine dispensing coordination with clinical advice for patients.
Context & Use Case
ICBs, primary care networks and NHS trusts use F/105 to move repeat prescribing for these products into a central hub. Patients get specialist nurse advice and reliable deliveries, while prescribers spend less time on repeat requests. Buyers also use hubs to cut waste from over-ordering and to improve product choice and adherence.

Who Can Apply
Suits prescription hub providers, nurse-led specialist services and dispensing appliance contractors with experience of stoma, catheter and continence products. F/105 is closed to new applications, so those not already appointed should prepare for the re-tender, likely around 10 September 2029.
Buyer Benefits
Central hubs reduce waste and free up GP practice time while improving patient support. F/105 gives commissioners a compliant Provider Selection Regime route to them. Buyers value independent clinical advice, waste reduction data, patient satisfaction and secure handling of patient information.
Next Steps
Appointed providers should approach ICBs and trusts that still manage repeat prescribing for these products themselves, with evidence of waste reduction and patient outcomes. Others should build that evidence, along with clinical governance documents and a clear approach to conflicts of interest between advice and product supply, ready for the re-tender.
How Athena Can Help
Prescription hub contracts are often decided on evidence of savings and patient experience. Athena's NHS commissioning bid support helps you present both credibly.
Our framework onboarding support prepares your application for the F/105 re-tender or similar routes open now, and our bid writing and review team builds responses for ICB call-offs, including clear answers on clinical governance and independence. We also check your evidence for compliance before submission, and can help you set out waste reduction results in a form commissioners recognise.
