COUNTESS OF CHESTER HOSPITAL NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

National Framework Agreement for Radiology Capacity Management Solutions (PSR)

Live

Framework Description

F/099 is a national framework for radiology capacity management solutions, set up under the Provider Selection Regime and hosted by COCH Commercial Procurement Services at Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. It covers both reporting and imaging capacity and supersedes earlier radiology capacity arrangements. It started on 1 September 2025 for four years and runs to 31 August 2029.

Context & Use Case

NHS trusts and ICBs use F/099 to add radiology capacity, either to support in-house teams or as a fully managed service. It helps them manage waiting lists, winter pressures and demand for sub-specialty reporting. Integration with hospital PACS and RIS lets external reporters work within trusts' own systems. Buyers can choose the model that fits their workforce.

Scope of Services

Who Can Apply

Suits radiology service providers with consultant-led reporting teams, insourcing capability and digital workflow integration. Check the COCH CPS page for whether an access window is open; otherwise plan for the re-tender before 31 August 2029.

Buyer Benefits

Diagnostic targets put constant pressure on radiology departments. F/099 gives trusts a Provider Selection Regime compliant way to add capacity in whatever model suits them. Buyers value consultant-led governance, turnaround times, sub-specialty cover and smooth PACS and RIS integration. Flexible capacity for winter peaks also matters.

Next Steps

Contact COCH Commercial Procurement Services through its healthcare frameworks page for the F/099 access window and briefing pack. Prepare governance evidence, turnaround data, sub-specialty coverage and PACS and RIS integration examples. Appointed providers should target trusts with high reporting backlogs.

How Athena Can Help

Radiology capacity under the Provider Selection Regime is awarded on quality, value and integration. Athena's tender writing and pricing helps you show those clearly in F/099 competitions.

Our framework access support prepares your application when a window opens, and our NHS diagnostics bid strategy helps you choose which trusts and models to focus on as demand shifts. We also compliance-check every submission and can model your likely score against other reporting companies.
