Mobile Diagnostic and Treatment Units DPS

Live

Framework Description

Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust's Mobile Diagnostic and Treatment Units DPS (DPS013) gives NHS and other public sector health bodies in the UK a route to mobile units for planned procedures and diagnostics. Units are usually vans or temporary cabins, available across three lots: hire or lease, purchase, or a managed service. The DPS runs until 2 September 2028. The Find a Tender notice reference is 028180-2024.

Context & Use Case

NHS trusts and other health bodies use it to add capacity quickly when waiting lists, staff shortages or lack of space hold back planned care. Units can be placed at hospitals or closer to patients, for example at supermarkets or GP practices, which helps in remote areas. Requirements are competed among admitted suppliers.

Scope of Services

Lot 1: Hire or lease of mobile diagnostic and/or treatment units Lot 2: Purchase of mobile diagnostic and/or treatment units Lot 3: Mobile diagnostic and/or treatment units as a managed service

Lots

Lot 1 - Hire or Lease of Mobile Diagnostic and/or Treatment Unit(s); Lot 2 - Purchase of Mobile Diagnostic and/or Treatment Unit(s); Lot 3 - Mobile Diagnostic and/or Treatment Unit(s) as a Managed Service

Who Can Apply

Manufacturers, hire and leasing firms, and managed service providers of mobile clinical units. As a live DPS, it accepts applications throughout its term, so suppliers can apply now for one or more of the three lots before 2 September 2028.

Buyer Benefits

Trusts can add scanning or treatment capacity in weeks rather than waiting for new buildings, which helps reduce waiting lists. Choosing between hire, purchase and managed service lets them match the arrangement to their capital and revenue budgets. Mobile units also let them take care into communities with poor access.

Next Steps

Read Find a Tender notice 028180-2024 and apply through the route it gives, choosing one or more lots: hire or lease, purchase, or managed service. Prepare unit specifications, clinical and regulatory compliance evidence, deployment timescales, and NHS case studies that show capacity added or waiting times reduced.
