Framework Description
The EPoS Systems DPS, run by TUCO (TUCO reference CAT11072-TU), gives education buyers access to electronic point of sale hardware and software for catering outlets, campus shops and self-serve points. It replaced the earlier EPoS Hardware and Software Systems DPS. It runs from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2027 and accepts new suppliers while it is open. This framework is used by TUCO, Crescent Purchasing, SUPC and APUC.
Context & Use Case
Universities, colleges and schools with in-house catering use it to equip restaurants, cafés and campus shops with tills, kiosks and software. Buyers must join TUCO, which is free for educational establishments with in-house catering, then call off through a mini-competition among suppliers on the relevant lot. Pricing is set at that call-off stage rather than in advance.

Lot 1: Retail EPoS systems Lot 2: Restaurant EPoS systems Lot 3a: Self-serve, retail Lot 3b: Self-serve, restaurant Lot 3c: Self-serve, kiosk Lot 4: One stop shop covering all of the above

Who Can Apply
EPoS hardware and software suppliers for catering and retail in education. As a live DPS, it is open to new suppliers, including SMEs, so you can apply now for the lots that match your systems before it ends on 31 March 2027.
Buyer Benefits
Institutions get suppliers who understand campus catering and retail, with separate lots for retail, restaurant and self-serve systems. Because new suppliers can join at any time, the pool stays competitive, and mini-competition at call-off lets buyers test price and fit for each site, from a single café to a campus-wide system.
Next Steps
Register and apply through TUCO's InTend e-tendering portal, choosing the lots that match your products. Prepare education catering case studies, payment integration evidence and support service levels. Once admitted, respond to mini-competitions with clear pricing, as there is no fixed price schedule. Note the 31 March 2027 end date.
