Multifunctional Devices and Associated Products and Services (including Print and Design)

Live

Framework Description

Crescent Purchasing Consortium's Multifunctional Devices and Associated Products and Services (including Print and Design) framework started on 8 April 2025. It runs to 1 April 2028, with an option to extend by 12 months to 1 April 2029. It merges CPC's previous MFD and print and design frameworks into one agreement with two lots, so members can source office print and outsourced print and design together.

Context & Use Case

Colleges, universities, academies and schools use Lot 1 to lease or buy MFDs with associated print management, cloud print and automated invoice processing. They use Lot 2 for prospectuses, signage and other printed and designed material. Members make a direct award or run a mini-competition through CPC's MultiQuote portal, often comparing cost per page across several manufacturers.

Scope of Services

Lot 1: Multifunctional Devices and Associated Services Desktop to high-volume MFDs, supplies, software and support Print Management Cloud and Automated Invoice Processing Lot 2: Print and Design Services Lease or outright purchase options

Lots

Multifunctional Devices and Associated Services; Print and Design Services

Who Can Apply

Suits MFD manufacturers and dealers, print management providers and print and design houses. Appointed suppliers include Apogee, Aurora, Canon, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Ricoh, Sharp and Xerox. Applications for this framework are closed, so others must wait for the re-tender around 2028.

Buyer Benefits

Print fleets are a recurring cost that members want to reduce and control. Buyers value lease or purchase choice, print management software that cuts waste, and digital tools such as automated invoice processing. They also gain one framework covering both devices and print and design work.

Next Steps

Appointed suppliers should prepare for MultiQuote competitions with clear cost-per-page models and digital transformation offers. Others should note the 1 April 2028 expiry and possible extension to 2029, and watch Find a Tender and CPC's pipeline. Dealers can also explore partnering with appointed manufacturers in the meantime.
