Framework Description
Crescent Purchasing Consortium's Salon Products and Equipment framework started on 1 May 2024 and runs to 30 April 2027. There is an option to extend by 12 months to 30 April 2028. It sits in the Learning & Training category and has three lots covering hair, beauty, and salon furniture. Suppliers were fixed at award, as it is not a DPS.
Context & Use Case
Further education colleges and training providers that teach hair and beauty qualifications use it to stock training salons with professional products, tools and furniture. Purchases range from routine consumables each term to fitting out a new salon. Call-offs are by direct award or mini-competition on CPC's MultiQuote portal. Each lot is bought separately, so a college can refresh one area at a time.
Scope of Services
Lot 1: Hair Products and Equipment Lot 2: Beauty Products and Equipment Lot 3: Salon Furniture and Associated Services
Lots
Hair Products and Equipment; Beauty Products and Equipment; Salon Furniture and Associated Services
Who Can Apply
Suits professional hair and beauty brands, salon wholesalers and salon furniture makers who serve colleges. It is closed to new applications. The re-tender is likely around April 2027, or April 2028 if CPC takes the extension.
Buyer Benefits
Colleges need professional-grade brands that match industry practice so students are work-ready. They value education pricing, training support from brands, and salon fit-outs that meet awarding body requirements, all through one route instead of separate tenders. Three lots let them buy consumables and furniture from specialists.
Next Steps
Appointed suppliers should work their MultiQuote opportunities and gather outcome evidence. Others should check the CPC framework page for the extension decision and watch Find a Tender from early 2027. Prepare education pricing, product training offers and college case studies.
How Athena Can Help
With the initial term ending on 30 April 2027, Athena's bid planning support helps salon suppliers decide which lot to target and prepare early. Our framework registration consultants then write the application, from selection questions to case studies.
If you already hold a place, our bid team strengthens your mini-competition responses with win themes around education support and pricing models that hold margin. We also compliance-check the submission before it is sent, so every lot response meets CPC's requirements.
