Framework Description
RM6292 Cloud Compute 2 is a Government Commercial Agency (GCA, formerly Crown Commercial Service) framework let under PCR 2015. It started on 28 November 2023 and its initial term runs to 27 November 2026, with an option to extend by up to 12 months. It gives public sector buyers hyperscale cloud compute, directly from cloud providers or through resellers and partners, across four lots.
Context & Use Case
Central government and wider public sector organisations use it to buy platform and infrastructure as a service on terms suited to hyperscale clouds. It lets buyers honour three-year cloud commitments without re-buying through G-Cloud every two years. Call-offs can be made by direct award or further competition. Professional services and Cloud Secure+ sit in their own lots.
Scope of Services
Lot 1: Core Services, including PaaS and IaaS Lot 2: Value-Added Ancillary Services, such as billing and FinOps tooling Lot 3: Professional Services, including cloud consultancy and training Lot 4: Cloud Secure+ Cloud native, hybrid and edge computing

Who Can Apply
Suits hyperscale cloud providers, cloud resellers and cloud partners. As a PCR 2015 framework, membership is fixed, so new suppliers cannot join until the successor is procured, after 27 November 2026 or up to a year later if extended.
Buyer Benefits
Cloud spend is large and long-term. Buyers value terms built for hyperscale platforms, multi-year commitment discounts, FinOps tools to control spend, and secure options under Cloud Secure+ for sensitive workloads. Buying direct or through a partner also gives them flexibility over support and billing.
Next Steps
Appointed suppliers should keep catalogue and service offers current to win call-offs. Others should check the RM6292 page for the extension decision and watch GCA's upcoming agreements for the successor. Prepare security accreditations, FinOps case studies and public sector migration references.
