Framework Description
International Healthcare Professional Recruitment and Associated Services (RM6333) is an NHS Workforce Alliance framework run through the Government Commercial Agency (GCA, formerly Crown Commercial Service). It covers ethical international recruitment of permanent healthcare staff, plus OSCE training and pastoral support, across five lots. It replaced RM6162 International Recruitment of Clinical Healthcare Professionals, began on 13 April 2023 and ends on 1 May 2027. This framework is used by Crown Commercial, NHS Workforce Alliance and NHS North of England.
Context & Use Case
NHS trusts and other public sector employers use RM6333 to recruit nurses, midwives, doctors, dentists and allied health professionals from overseas, in line with international recruitment priorities in the NHS Long Term Plan. Providers manage relocation and pastoral care as well as sourcing, so buyers can run a full international campaign through one supplier or buy OSCE training separately.
Scope of Services
Lot 1: Permanent international nursing and midwifery staff Lot 2: International doctors and dentists Lot 3: International allied health professionals, including social workers Lot 4: International OSCE training support services Lot 5: International candidate pastoral support
Lots
Lot 1: Recruitment Services of Permanent International Nursing and Midwifery Staff; Lot 2: International Doctors and Dentists; Lot 3: International AHPs Including Social Workers; Lot 4: International OSCE Training Support Services; Lot 5: International Candidate Pastoral Support
Who Can Apply
Membership is fixed until RM6333 is re-tendered, so international recruitment agencies, OSCE trainers and pastoral support providers not already appointed must wait for the successor. Applicants will need to show ethical recruitment practice and current knowledge of regulation, language testing and immigration rules.
Buyer Benefits
Trusts get providers that meet a shared quality standard on ethical recruitment and that take responsibility for relocation, licensing awareness and pastoral care. This lowers the risk of candidates dropping out or leaving early, which is where much of the cost of international recruitment lies.
Next Steps
The framework ends on 1 May 2027, so successor activity is likely soon. Monitor the GCA page for RM6333 and NHS Workforce Alliance news. Prepare retention data, OSCE pass rates, ethical recruitment policies and NHS references now, so you are ready when the tender opens.
