Occupational Health and Related Services DPS

Framework Description

Occupational Health and Related Services (RM6296) is a dynamic purchasing system from the Government Commercial Agency (GCA, formerly Crown Commercial Service). It was set up under the light touch regime of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and covers occupational health, employee assistance programmes, eyecare and hearing services. It is a single-lot DPS open to public, wider public and third sector buyers, and runs until 27 October 2028.

Context & Use Case

Employers across the public and third sectors use RM6296 to support staff health and wellbeing, reduce sickness absence and meet health and safety duties. A council might buy display screen eye tests, while a larger body might appoint a fully managed occupational health and wellbeing service. The light touch regime gives buyers more flexibility over service design and contract terms.

Who Can Apply

RM6296 is open to new suppliers at any time until 27 October 2028. It suits occupational health providers, employee assistance programme providers, opticians and audiology services, and smaller or newer providers can join on the same basis as established ones.

Buyer Benefits

Buyers can buy anything from a single eyecare service to a fully managed occupational health contract through one route. The light touch regime allows flexible service and contract design, and a growing supplier pool keeps competition active, which helps employers control absence-related costs.

Next Steps

Register through the GCA agreement page (https://www.gca.gov.uk/agreements/RM6296), read the application documents and select the services you can deliver. Prepare evidence of clinical governance, relevant accreditations and public sector clients. Joining soon gives you about two years of competitions before the DPS ends in October 2028.
