Framework Description
Office Solutions (RM6299) is a framework, closed to new applications, from the Government Commercial Agency (GCA, formerly Crown Commercial Service) for stationery, paper, electronic office supplies, janitorial products and related equipment. It replaced RM6059 Office Supplies. Let for three years plus a one-year extension, it has now used that extension and ends on 22 April 2028, with no further extension available. It has two multi-supplier lots.
Context & Use Case
Central government, the wider public sector, charities, emergency services, education, health and local authorities use RM6299 to buy everyday office products. Buyers can direct award, run a further competition or hold an eAuction, and can join with other organisations to aggregate demand for better prices. Call-off contracts can run past the framework's end date.

Who Can Apply
Membership of RM6299 is fixed until it is re-tendered, so office supplies wholesalers and resellers not appointed cannot join before it ends on 22 April 2028. Suppliers with strong sustainable product ranges should prepare for the successor.
Buyer Benefits
Buyers get a product list chosen for the public sector, including sustainable products that meet Government Buying Standards. Further competition, direct award and eAuctions give them several ways to cut prices, and aggregating demand with other bodies increases their buying power.
Next Steps
As no further extension is available, expect successor market engagement during 2027. Follow the GCA page (https://www.gca.gov.uk/agreements/RM6299) and Find a Tender, and prepare evidence on sustainable ranges, delivery performance and pricing. Appointed suppliers should prepare for eAuctions, where price discipline decides the outcome.
How Athena Can Help
Office supplies call-offs, especially eAuctions, are decided on price. Athena's pricing models for supply contracts help appointed suppliers set basket prices that win without eroding margin, and we write further competition responses on sustainability and delivery.
For the RM6299 successor, our framework application team prepares your submission and checks compliance, and our supplies tender advice covers social value and Government Buying Standards. We also plan the timeline so policies and certificates are ready when the tender opens.
