Framework Description
Quality Assurance and Testing for IT Systems 2 (RM6148) is a dynamic purchasing system from the Government Commercial Agency (GCA, formerly Crown Commercial Service) for testing and assurance of public sector IT systems. Let under PCR 2015, it has already been extended to 23 February 2029, the latest date a PCR 2015 DPS can run, so no further extension is possible. It is a single-lot DPS and remains open to new suppliers until then.
Context & Use Case
Public sector bodies use RM6148 to bring in independent testers before and after systems go live, checking that software works, performs under load, is secure and is usable by the public. Buyers set their own requirements and run competitions among DPS suppliers, which suits both short test engagements and longer assurance contracts on major digital programmes.

Who Can Apply
RM6148 is open to new suppliers until 23 February 2029. It suits specialist testing firms, from small consultancies to larger providers, including those focused on accessibility, security or test automation, provided they meet the entry criteria.
Buyer Benefits
Buyers get a compliant route to independent testing with less administration than a full tender, and a supplier pool that keeps growing as firms join. They can write requirements to fit each system and choose specialists rather than general IT providers.
Next Steps
Apply through the GCA agreement page (https://www.gca.gov.uk/agreements/RM6148), selecting the testing services you can evidence. Prepare case studies of public sector or regulated systems you have tested, with measurable outcomes. With the DPS closing on 23 February 2029, joining now gives you the most competitions.
