Space-Enabled and Geospatial Services

Live

Framework Description

Space-Enabled and Geospatial Services (RM6235) is a dynamic purchasing system from the Government Commercial Agency (GCA, formerly Crown Commercial Service). It supports the UK National Space Strategy and Geospatial Strategy by giving the public sector a simple route to space-enabled and geospatial products and services, from aerial survey data to drones and satellite communications. It is a single-lot DPS that runs until 10 February 2029.

Context & Use Case

Public sector bodies use RM6235 to buy off-the-shelf or bespoke products that use locational data, such as monitoring estates, demographic change or tree disease, and to provide satellite communications in hard-to-reach places. It runs alongside the RM6370 Space Technology Solutions dynamic market, which covers civil and defence space technology. Buyers run competitions among DPS suppliers for each requirement.

Scope of Services

Geospatial data products such as aerial photography and bespoke surveys Remote sensing and monitoring, including satellite and UAV platforms UAV products, including drones and counter-drone technology Satellite-enabled broadcast and communications Professional services, including upstream space launch and manufacture Digital applications using geospatial data

Who Can Apply

Space, satellite, drone and geospatial data suppliers that meet the selection criteria can apply to join RM6235 at any time until 10 February 2029. It suits small specialists, such as drone survey firms, as well as larger satellite operators.

Buyer Benefits

Buyers get access to a market they have used little in the past, and better decisions from locational data. Remote monitoring by satellite or drone is often safer, cheaper and lower-carbon than site visits, which appeals to estates, environment and infrastructure teams.

Next Steps

Apply through the GCA DPS process from the agreement page (https://www.gca.gov.uk/agreements/RM6235), selecting the products and services you can evidence. Consider joining the RM6370 dynamic market as well, as some buyers will use that route. Prepare public sector case studies showing outcomes from your data or services.

How Athena Can Help

Athena can handle your RM6235 application. Our geospatial DPS application help sets out your data, drone or satellite capability clearly and checks it before submission, and we can apply to RM6370 at the same time.

Many buyers are new to geospatial services, so bids must explain the benefit plainly. Our geospatial bid writers do that with outcome-led win themes, and our public sector pricing support keeps data and survey prices competitive.
