Framework Description

Travel, Transport, Accommodation and Venue Solutions (RM6342) is a PCR 2015 framework, closed to new applications, from the Government Commercial Agency (GCA, formerly Crown Commercial Service). It covers business travel, accommodation, venues and support for people under public sector care, such as asylum seekers, refugees and rough sleepers, across four lots. It runs from 1 October 2024 to 30 September 2027.

Context & Use Case

Public sector organisations use RM6342 for staff travel, meetings and events, and emergency responses, including evacuations and accommodation for approved civilian programmes. Buyers can direct award for straightforward needs at agreed prices or run a further competition for complex requirements such as overseas crisis response or large conferences. Lot 4 serves programmes for people in public sector care.

Who Can Apply

Membership of RM6342 is fixed, so travel management companies, venue finding agencies and accommodation providers not appointed cannot join before it ends on 30 September 2027. Providers able to support civilian programmes and emergency response should prepare for the successor.

Buyer Benefits

Buyers get negotiated rates with price matching, 24/7 support, online booking and CO2 tracking. Preferred venue terms bring better cancellation conditions, and emergency response capability gives departments a ready route when a crisis needs travel or accommodation at short notice.

Next Steps

With RM6342 ending on 30 September 2027, watch the GCA page (https://www.gca.gov.uk/agreements/RM6342) and GCA's upcoming agreements for the successor. Prepare evidence on duty of care, emergency response, carbon reporting and booking technology. Appointed suppliers should use current call-offs to build fresh references for the next procurement.

How Athena Can Help

Athena helps travel and venue suppliers prepare for the RM6342 successor. Our travel framework bid preparation chooses the right lots and builds evidence on duty of care, emergency response and carbon reporting.

Appointed suppliers can use our further competition writing to win complex travel and event call-offs, with management fee models that win. Our public sector bid compliance checks keep submissions in line with the evaluation criteria and social value rules.
