Framework Description
The East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub's Aseptic Cleanroom Consumables and Laundry Services framework supplies the disinfectants, garments, laundry and consumables that pharmacy aseptic units need to keep cleanrooms sterile. It has four lots and is a renewal of an earlier agreement, updated to meet current national guidance. It runs to 31 August 2029, with an option to extend by 12 months.
Context & Use Case
NHS pharmacy aseptic units, where sterile medicines are prepared, use the framework to keep cleanrooms compliant. It is open to members of the East of England hub, NHS Commercial Solutions, Thames Valley and Wessex Pharmacy Procurement Services, and other NHS organisations across the UK. Spend through the framework is expected to exceed £1 million a year.

Who Can Apply
Suits manufacturers and distributors of cleanroom disinfectants, garments and consumables, and specialist cleanroom laundries. Applications for this framework are closed until it is re-tendered, likely around 31 August 2029 or, with the extension, 31 August 2030.
Buyer Benefits
Aseptic units cannot risk contamination, so buyers value products and laundry services already checked against national guidance. Several NHS procurement organisations using one agreement also gives consistent specifications and pricing across regions, and a supplier base that understands aseptic unit requirements and the cost of any supply failure.
Next Steps
Appointed suppliers should keep product validation data, supply continuity plans and laundry process evidence current for buyers. Others should watch the hub's framework pages at eoecph.nhs.uk and Find a Tender for the re-tender, and build evidence of supplying NHS or GMP cleanroom environments.
