Framework Description
EEM0063 is Efficiency East Midlands' Communal Entrance Doors Framework (25-29) for the design, manufacture, supply and installation of aluminium and steel communal entrance doors and door sets, including maintenance. It has two lots, one for aluminium and one for steel doors, each with national coverage. It runs from 27 January 2025 to 26 January 2029 with no extension, and call-off contracts can run for up to five years beyond that.
Context & Use Case
EEM members with multi-tenanted stock, such as housing providers and other public bodies, use it for door replacement programmes, security upgrades and repairs to shared entrances. Maintenance can be bought on a basic or comprehensive basis, with a responsive service for inoperable doors and urgent repairs. EEM also publishes guidance for NHS trusts that want to use the framework.

Who Can Apply
Suits manufacturers and installers of aluminium or steel communal entrance doors with security certification such as Secured by Design or PAS 24. As applications are closed, suppliers not appointed cannot join now. The next opportunity is the replacement procurement, likely around 26 January 2029.
Buyer Benefits
Members get doors designed to Building Regulations and relevant British standards, with security certification, vandal resistance and a minimum five-year guarantee, from installers already tested on price and quality. Separate aluminium and steel lots let them choose the right material, and call-offs can run past the framework's end, so a maintenance contract can outlast the framework itself.
Next Steps
Appointed suppliers should keep certifications, product data and installation case studies current, and respond quickly when members issue call-offs. Others should plan for the re-tender ahead of 26 January 2029: follow EEM's framework pages, use its supplier enquiry route to register interest, and build case studies on secure entrance door projects in social housing.
How Athena Can Help
For EEM0063 suppliers, call-offs reward clear method statements and sharp pricing. Athena's bid team can write those responses, run a Bid Health Check on drafts and build pricing models that win against other appointed door installers.
If you missed this round, we can prepare you for the re-tender expected around January 2029. Our help with framework applications covers accreditations, case studies and policies, and our public sector bidding advice includes a bid/no-bid review once the notice is out.
