Framework Description
EEM0053 is Efficiency East Midlands' new Fire Safety, Fire Doors and Building Remediation Works Framework, replacing its existing framework that expires in November 2026. It has three lots: fire safety and building remediation works, fire safety consultancy, and fire doors, with Midlands and national sub-lots. Tenders are due by 2pm on 28 October 2026, and it is due to run from 8 February 2027 to 10 February 2031.
Context & Use Case
Housing associations, councils and other EEM members will use it for fire safety and remediation works, specialist consultancy and fire door supply or supply and installation, across residential and non-residential properties in England and Wales. The fire door lots are split between composite, timber and internal timber doors, so manufacturers and installers can each target the right sub-lot.

Who Can Apply
Suits fire safety and remediation contractors, fire safety consultants, and fire door manufacturers and installers. The tender is open now, with up to 80 suppliers to be appointed and submissions due by 2pm on 28 October 2026, so this is the chance to win a place before the framework starts in February 2027.
Buyer Benefits
Landlords face regulatory deadlines and close scrutiny of building safety, so they want contractors with proven competence and audit-ready records, and the framework gives them that quickly. They value third-party certification, golden-thread documentation, good resident liaison during works and the capacity to deliver large door and remediation programmes.
