Framework Description
ESPO's Handling Equipment and Steel Shelving framework (reference 277_24) covers the supply of steel shelving, from small parts storage and boltless shelving to mobile, longspan and file shelving, pallet racking and bespoke requirements. It started on 1 February 2024 and has been extended by 20 months beyond its original 31 March 2026 end date. Procured under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, it does not accept new suppliers.
Context & Use Case
Schools, councils, depots and other public bodies use it to fit out stores, archives and warehouses with shelving and racking, delivered direct to their sites anywhere in the UK. Buyers can direct award for standard items or run a further competition for larger or bespoke requirements. Suppliers provide catalogues or websites so buyers can browse their ranges.

Suits steel shelving manufacturers, racking suppliers and storage equipment distributors. Applications for this framework are closed, so suppliers not appointed cannot join until ESPO re-tenders it. With the 20-month extension running from 31 March 2026, that re-tender is likely towards the end of 2027.
