Framework Description
Hampshire County Council's Vehicle Spares, Consumables & Workshop Maintenance Framework is a joint arrangement with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Authority. It covers vehicle spare parts, lubricants and bottled gases for both organisations' fleet workshops, across three lots. Applications for this framework are closed (it is not a DPS), and it runs until 31 May 2030 with no extension listed.
Context & Use Case
The council and the fire and rescue authority use it to keep their vehicle fleets, including emergency vehicles, serviced and roadworthy. Workshops order parts, oils and filters, and bottled gases, with used bottles collected. Responsive supply matters, because a vehicle waiting for parts is a vehicle out of service, which for the fire service affects operational readiness.
Scope of Services
Lot 1: Supply of Vehicle Spares & Parts Lot 2: Supply of Vehicle Lubricants and Associated Products Lot 3: Supply of Bottled Gases, including collection of used and empty bottles Servicing of workshop equipment and tools
Lots
Lot 1 - Supply of Vehicle Spares & Parts; Lot 2 - Supply of Vehicle Lubricants and Associated Products; Lot 3 - Supply of Bottled Gases (incl. collection of used/empty bottles)
Who Can Apply
Suits motor factors, parts distributors, lubricant suppliers and industrial gas companies able to deliver promptly across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Applications for this framework are closed, so suppliers not appointed cannot join until the re-tender, likely around 31 May 2030.
Buyer Benefits
Two fleets buying together get better prices and one set of terms. Workshop managers value fast, accurate parts supply, consistent product quality, reliable delivery to multiple depots and simple ordering. For the fire service, availability of critical parts is essential to keep appliances ready.
Next Steps
Appointed suppliers should keep price files, stock availability and delivery performance data ready for orders. Others should prepare for the re-tender before 31 May 2030, building evidence of supplying public sector or emergency service fleets, and set out delivery coverage across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
How Athena Can Help
Fleet supply contracts are won on availability, delivery and price. For appointed suppliers, Athena's pricing and bid writing support can sharpen responses to any further competitions.
For suppliers outside the framework, our framework registration planning identifies other fleet supply frameworks open now and prepares for the 2030 re-tender, and our public supply contract bidding helps you present service levels that fire and council fleets value. That includes delivery commitments for multiple depots.
