Fire Safety Products & Associated Services

Live

Framework Description

KCS's Fire Safety Products & Associated Services framework gives public bodies across the UK, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland access to fire safety equipment and services through five lots: product supply, fire risk assessment and training, prevention and detection systems, emergency lighting, and wet and dry risers. It ends on 31 December 2026 and is not a Dynamic Purchasing System.

Context & Use Case

Councils, police, fire services, the NHS, schools, charities and other publicly funded bodies use it, with permission from KCS, to keep buildings compliant with fire safety law. Typical call-offs include extinguisher supply and servicing, fire risk assessments, alarm and detection installs, emergency lighting tests and riser maintenance in multi-storey buildings.

Scope of Services

Lot 1: Supply of fire safety products Lot 2: Fire risk assessment and fire awareness training Lot 3: Fire prevention and detection systems Lot 4: Emergency lighting Lot 5: Wet and dry risers

Lots

Lot 1 The Supply of Fire Safety Products; Lot 2 Fire Risk Assessment and Fire Awareness Training; Lot 3 Fire Prevention and Detection Systems; Lot 4 Emergency Lighting; Lot 5 Wet and Dry Risers

Who Can Apply

Fire safety product suppliers, fire risk assessors, trainers, and alarm, emergency lighting and riser contractors. Applications for this framework are closed and it ends on 31 December 2026, so no new suppliers can join it; the successor framework is the opportunity, and its tender may already be under way.

Buyer Benefits

Fire safety is a legal duty, so buyers value a route to accredited assessors and contractors without delay. Five specialist lots make sure each service goes to a specialist, and a national framework lets small public bodies use the same vetted suppliers as large councils.

Next Steps

Check KCS's website and Find a Tender now for a replacement framework, as this one ends on 31 December 2026. Prepare third-party certification, competent assessor evidence and public sector references for the lots you'd target. Appointed suppliers should confirm how existing call-off contracts continue after the end date.

How Athena Can Help

With the framework ending this year, Athena's priority would be the successor tender. Our rapid bid/no-bid review confirms which lots to go for, and our bid writing and compliance checks produce answers that show certification, competence and response times clearly, priced to win.

If the timing is too tight, our fire safety framework search finds other routes to public sector fire safety work that you can apply to now, with every application checked for compliance before it goes in.
