Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) & Safety Workwear

Live

Framework Description

KCS's Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) & Safety Workwear framework supplies protective equipment and workwear to public bodies across the UK, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. It has three lots: PPE, safety workwear, and a one-stop shop covering both. Applications for this framework are closed (it is not a Dynamic Purchasing System), and it ends on 31 January 2027, so around three and a half months remain.

Context & Use Case

Police, fire services, NHS bodies, schools, charities and other publicly funded organisations use it, with permission from KCS, to equip staff for hazardous or outdoor work. Typical orders include high-visibility clothing, safety footwear, head, eye and face protection, gloves and respiratory protection. The one-stop shop lot suits buyers who want a single supplier for all their protective clothing.

Scope of Services

Who Can Apply

PPE manufacturers, distributors and workwear suppliers with public sector customers. Applications for this framework are closed and it is close to its end, so new suppliers cannot join it; the successor framework is the opportunity, and KCS may already be preparing or running the tender.

Buyer Benefits

Buyers get protective equipment from suppliers already checked for product standards, which helps them meet health and safety duties with less admin. The one-stop shop simplifies ordering for organisations with many roles and sites, and a national framework gives small bodies the same pricing and choice as large ones.

Next Steps

Check the KCS website and Find a Tender now for a replacement framework, as this one ends on 31 January 2027. Gather product conformity and certification evidence, stock and delivery data, and public sector references. Decide whether to target a single lot or the one-stop shop, and appointed suppliers should confirm how ongoing orders will run after the end date.

How Athena Can Help

With the successor tender close, Athena would help you move quickly. Our public sector bid timetable support confirms deadlines and whether to bid for a single lot or the one-stop shop, and our specialist bid writers build answers around product standards, stock availability and delivery, priced to win against national distributors.

If this round comes too soon, our framework scanning service finds other PPE and workwear frameworks you can join now and handles the applications.
