Pest Control Products & Services

Live

Framework Description

KCS Procurement Services' Pest Control Products & Services framework is a national agreement running until 31 January 2029. It has two lots: pest control products, such as traps, covers, sprays and baits; and pest control services, from rodent, insect and bird control to specialist treatments. It is a fixed framework rather than a DPS, and buyers call off by direct award or further competition.

Context & Use Case

Local authorities, NHS trusts, housing providers, schools and other public bodies use it to handle infestations in housing stock, kitchens, hospitals and public buildings. Typical needs include 24-hour emergency callouts, planned contracts for routine treatment, bird proofing, heat treatment, fumigation and CCTV surveys to find how pests are getting in. Councils with in-house pest teams use Lot 1 to buy products.

Lot 1: Pest control products (traps, covers, sprays and baits) Lot 2: Pest control services 24-hour treatment and emergency pest control Rodent, insect and bird control CCTV surveys, pest proofing and specialist treatments Heat treatments, fumigation and disinfection

Lots

Lot 1: Pest Control Products; Lot 2: Pest Control Services

Who Can Apply

Suits pest control contractors with recognised trade association membership, licensing and insurance, and suppliers of professional pest control products. Applications for this framework are closed, so firms not appointed cannot join until KCS re-tenders, likely around 31 January 2029. Appointed suppliers win work through direct awards and further competitions.

Buyer Benefits

Pest problems in housing, schools and hospitals need fast action, so buyers value a route to accredited contractors without a tender. Separate product and service lots let councils with in-house teams buy materials while others outsource treatment, and direct award suits emergency jobs.

Next Steps

Appointed suppliers should promote emergency response times and specialist treatments to housing and NHS buyers, and be ready for further competitions on planned contracts. Others can explore sub-contracting with appointed suppliers and should keep trade association membership, insurance and public sector references current for the re-tender expected before 31 January 2029.

How Athena Can Help

Pest control call-offs are usually decided on response times, accreditation and price. Athena's bid writing for service contracts sets out your coverage, methods and environmental controls clearly, with competitor scoring and pricing that wins planned contracts.

For firms not yet appointed, our facilities framework applications service finds other pest control and FM routes open now, and our public sector bid readiness support prepares you for KCS's 2029 re-tender. We can also prepare standard response content so you can turn round emergency call-off bids quickly.
