Framework Description
KCS's Signs and Associated Services framework covers the design, production, installation and maintenance of signage through two lots: traditional signs and associated services, and electronic and interactive signs. Buyers choose between direct award and further competition. It is a traditional framework agreement, not a Dynamic Purchasing System, and it ends on 31 January 2027 with no extension option.
Context & Use Case
Councils, highways authorities, schools, NHS sites and other public bodies use it for wayfinding, building and safety signs, street name plates and highway signs, and for digital or interactive displays in receptions and public spaces. Direct award suits replacing a few signs quickly, while further competition suits site-wide wayfinding schemes.

Who Can Apply
Sign manufacturers, installers and digital signage providers with public sector clients. Applications for this framework are closed and it is near its end, so new suppliers cannot join; the successor framework, likely tendered soon, is the opportunity.
Buyer Benefits
Buyers get one route from design to installation and upkeep, so signs are consistent across sites. Direct award saves time on small replacements, and a separate digital lot gives access to specialists in electronic displays and content. Maintenance and repair are also covered, so signs stay legible and compliant over time.
Next Steps
Watch KCS and Find a Tender for the successor framework, as this one ends on 31 January 2027. Prepare portfolios of public sector signage schemes, accessibility and highways compliance evidence, and installation safety records. Appointed suppliers should check how call-offs placed near the end date will be delivered.
