Who Can Apply

Contractors, specialist sub-contractors and other construction firms with Passivhaus or comparable low-energy building experience. As a DPS, it is open to new applicants until 5 April 2028, provided they meet the selection criteria.

Buyer Benefits

Passivhaus homes need specialist skills that general contractors may lack, and a DPS lets L&Q build a pool of firms that have them. Open admission means new Passivhaus-capable firms can join as the market matures, increasing competition on a type of construction where few suppliers have a track record.

Next Steps

Read notice 011149-2024 and the DPS documents, then register on L&Q's In-tend portal and complete the selection questionnaire. Gather Passivhaus project evidence, such as certified schemes, airtightness test results and trained staff, alongside health and safety and financial information. Correspondence with L&Q goes through the portal only.
