Framework Description
The Metropolitan Police Service Value Added Reseller (VAR) Framework, let by the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime, is the MPS route for technology hardware, software and associated services. It was awarded in August 2026 to Softcat PLC and Computacenter (UK) Limited after a competitive flexible procedure under the Procurement Act 2023. It runs from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2028, with two optional 12-month extensions to 30 September 2030.

The MPS uses the framework to buy hardware, software licences and related technical services for operational policing and day-to-day business. With two resellers appointed, it can source technology at scale, maintain continuity of supply and get advice on deploying and integrating products across a very large organisation.
