Framework Description
The National Framework Partnership's Construction Framework South under £20M appoints a ranked list of pre-qualified contractors for public sector construction projects up to £20 million in the South of England. The five-year term runs from 15 September 2025 to 15 September 2030. It is a single-lot framework, not a DPS, closed to new applications, and sits alongside a separate South framework for larger schemes.
Context & Use Case
Public bodies across the South of England use it for school and college buildings, housing schemes, health facilities and refurbishment projects within the value band. Direct selection suits urgent or straightforward schemes, while mini-competition lets clients compare price and quality on larger projects. Clients with steady programmes can build lasting relationships with a few ranked contractors.

Who Can Apply
Suits regional contractors and SMEs in the South of England with public sector projects up to £20 million, the right accreditations and a strong safety record. Applications for this framework are closed until the re-tender before 15 September 2030.
Buyer Benefits
Clients get contractors matched to their project size and region, with local supply chains that support social value. Direct award options mean urgent works can start quickly, a compliant route saves the cost of a separate tender, and mini-competition remains available when a client wants to test price and quality on a larger scheme.
Next Steps
Appointed contractors should contact public sector clients in the South with upcoming school, housing and health projects and deliver well to secure repeat work. Others should note the 15 September 2030 end and build regional case studies, local supply chain evidence and accreditations in the meantime.
