Electrical Services Framework

Live

Framework Description

The National Framework Partnership's Electrical Services Framework, also called the Electrical Services and Works Framework, covers electrical testing, inspection, installation, maintenance and upgrades in communal and domestic settings. It is a four-year framework running from 1 March 2023 to 1 March 2027, with a ranked list of appointed suppliers. Applications for it are closed (it is not a DPS), and it ends in under five months.

Context & Use Case

Social landlords, councils and other public bodies use it for periodic electrical testing of homes and communal areas, rewires, lighting and power installations, fault repairs and upgrades. Clients can make a direct selection from the ranked list or run a mini-competition, which suits both planned testing programmes and urgent remedial works.

Scope of Services

Electrical testing and inspection Electrical installation, including wiring, lighting and power Maintenance and fault repair Upgrades to existing electrical systems Energy management, including audits and energy-saving measures Emergency electrical repairs

Who Can Apply

Suits electrical contractors with domestic and communal experience, especially in social housing, and the right accreditations. New contractors cannot join the current framework, and with expiry on 1 March 2027 the replacement tender is the next opportunity.

Buyer Benefits

Electrical safety in homes is a legal and reputational priority for landlords. Buyers value ranked, pre-vetted contractors, quick direct selection for urgent work and mini-competition for larger programmes, all under one compliant route. Agreed terms also save the cost and delay of tendering each testing programme.

Next Steps

With the framework ending on 1 March 2027, check the National Framework Partnership site now for news of the replacement and its timetable. Prepare accreditations, testing and certification records, social housing case studies and response time data. Appointed contractors should confirm how ongoing programmes will be handled after the end date.
