Legal Framework Housing and Portfolio Management

Live

Framework Description

The National Framework Partnership (NFP) Legal Framework Housing and Portfolio Management gives public sector clients access to pre-approved law firms for housing and property portfolio work. Applications for this framework are closed (it is not a Dynamic Purchasing System), and it comes to an end on 31 October 2026. New instructions can be placed with the appointed firms until that date.

Context & Use Case

Landlords and other public bodies that own housing use it for legal advice on tenancies, tenant disputes, housing standards and the buying and selling of property within their portfolios. With the framework ending, clients will be deciding how to source this advice from November 2026 onwards, which is when a successor arrangement becomes relevant to law firms.

Scope of Services

Advice on housing law and regulation Property transactions and conveyancing Tenancy agreements and tenant disputes Portfolio acquisitions and disposals Compliance with housing standards

Who Can Apply

Fits law firms with housing management and property portfolio expertise. Because applications are closed and the framework ends on 31 October 2026, firms that are not appointed cannot join it; their route in is the replacement procurement.

Buyer Benefits

Housing providers deal with a steady flow of tenancy issues alongside larger portfolio decisions, so they value one legal route that covers both. Pre-approved firms and agreed terms let them instruct quickly when a dispute arises or a disposal needs completing.

Next Steps

Since this framework ends on 31 October 2026, firms should check the NFP framework page for a successor and register interest as soon as it is advertised. Prepare housing and portfolio case studies, fee structures and evidence of public sector client work so you can meet the tender deadline.

How Athena Can Help

For housing law firms, the next NFP tender is the chance to win a place on the successor arrangement. Athena's bid writers can turn your housing management and portfolio matters into scored evidence and plan the submission against the deadline.

Our framework registrations team can confirm when the successor opens and keep the compliance documents in order, and our public sector bid planning helps you weigh it against other housing legal tenders.
