Legal Framework Procurement IT IP Health and Safety

Framework Description

The Legal Framework Procurement IT IP Health and Safety is a four-year National Framework Partnership (NFP) framework that started on 1 November 2022 and expires on 31 October 2026. It gives public sector clients access to pre-qualified law firms for commercial, procurement, IT, intellectual property and health and safety law. Applications for this framework are closed (it is not a Dynamic Purchasing System), and call-offs are by direct selection or mini-competition.

Context & Use Case

Contracting authorities use it for legal input on their own procurements, on technology contracts and data protection, on protecting intellectual property, and on health and safety compliance and risk. In its final weeks it remains available for urgent instructions, after which buyers will look to its replacement for this mix of commercial specialisms.

Scope of Services

Who Can Apply

Suits commercial law firms covering procurement, technology, IP and health and safety. No new firms can join during the term, which ends on 31 October 2026. Firms wanting a place should target the replacement procurement.

Buyer Benefits

Buyers get one route to several commercial specialisms, so a single instruction can cover, for example, an IT contract with IP and data protection issues. Direct selection keeps advice moving on time-critical procurements, and mini-competition gives price tension on larger matters.

Next Steps

Firms should check the NFP framework page for the successor to this framework before it expires on 31 October 2026. Prepare procurement, IT and IP case studies and partner CVs now, and check early whether your practice can evidence every specialism the replacement asks for, so gaps can be filled before the deadline.

How Athena Can Help

This mix of procurement, IT, IP and health and safety law needs a bid that shows depth across every area. Athena's tender writing support structures your evidence by specialism, writes to the scoring criteria and checks pricing against likely competitors.

Our bid/no-bid decision tools help you decide how to position the firm, and our frameworks application support manages deadlines, case studies and the compliance check for the replacement NFP tender, so nothing is lost on a technicality.
