Pest Control Services Framework

Live

Framework Description

The National Framework Partnership (NFP) Pest Control Services Framework is a single-lot framework for appointing pre-qualified pest control contractors. It runs for four years, from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2029, in the Facilities & Estates category. Public sector clients award work by direct selection or mini-competition, and applications to the supplier list are closed for the full term.

Context & Use Case

Contracting authorities use it to put pest management in place across their estates: planned prevention programmes for housing blocks, schools or offices, reactive call-outs when an infestation is reported, and specialist treatments. A client needing an urgent response can appoint directly, while an estate-wide programme is better tested through a mini-competition.

Scope of Services

Routine pest control and prevention programmes Reactive call-outs for infestations Insect and rodent control Specialist pest management

Who Can Apply

Suits licensed pest control contractors with public sector experience and the required regulatory accreditations. It is closed to new applications; the next opportunity to join is the re-tender, likely around March 2029. Appointed contractors win work through call-offs.

Buyer Benefits

Pests are a health and reputational risk, especially in housing and schools, so buyers need a contractor who can respond fast. Having one pre-procured route for both scheduled prevention and reactive call-outs means a client can set up a programme and handle emergencies without separate procurements.

Next Steps

Appointed contractors should prepare response-time commitments and prevention programme pricing for mini-competitions. Others should note that the framework runs until 31 March 2029; meanwhile, bid for pest control contracts tendered directly by councils and landlords, and watch the NFP framework page for the re-tender.

How Athena Can Help

Pest control tenders turn on response times, coverage and price. If you are appointed, Athena's tender management team can sharpen your mini-competition responses and price prevention programmes to win.

If you are not, our public sector bidding help supports you on direct tenders from councils and housing providers while this framework runs, and our pre-tender framework planning prepares you for the 2029 re-tender with the evidence and policies you will need.
