Framework Description
The Asset Utilisation Framework is a single-lot call-off agreement run by NHS London Procurement Partnership, hosted by Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. It gives NHS trusts access to cloud-based platforms that track, monitor and improve the use of clinical equipment across departments and sites. The framework runs until 30 April 2030 with no extension, and its awarded suppliers are Asset Workflows Limited and INNAXYS Ltd.
Context & Use Case
Trusts turn to it when staff spend too long finding equipment, when devices sit unused on one ward while another hires them in, or when capital bids need evidence of real usage. It fits medical device tracking programmes and clinical engineering teams that want usage data to support equipment sharing, maintenance planning and investment decisions. LPP lists it as accessible to all public sector buyers.

Who Can Apply
Suits health tech companies offering equipment tracking or utilisation analytics for hospitals. Applications for this framework are closed, so suppliers other than the two awardees cannot join during its term. The next chance to compete is likely to come with a re-tender around 30 April 2030.
Buyer Benefits
Capital budgets are tight, and trusts are under pressure to prove they need new equipment before buying it. A platform that shows real utilisation can delay or avoid purchases, cut rental spend and reduce the time clinicians spend looking for kit. The framework lets a trust get there without a full tender, choosing between pre-qualified providers.
Next Steps
Asset Workflows and INNAXYS should prepare for further competitions with case studies showing measured savings in equipment spend or search time. Other suppliers should use the years before 30 April 2030 to win direct trust contracts, build NHS references and integration evidence, and watch LPP's digital technology pipeline for the re-tender.
How Athena Can Help
With only two suppliers on the framework, each further competition is head to head. Athena's competitor scoring and bid writing models how a trust is likely to rate your answer against your rival's, then builds a price and evidence case that wins on savings.
If you sell asset tracking but are not on this framework, our framework opportunity research finds NHS digital routes that are open now, and our public sector bid consultants help you win direct trust tenders that build references ahead of 2030.
