Health and Social Care Apps DPS

Live

Framework Description

The Health and Social Care Apps DPS, run by NHS London Procurement Partnership, is a dynamic purchasing system for buying digital apps that support patients and health and care staff across the UK public sector. It is organised into 25 clinical and wellbeing categories, from child health and diabetes to mental health and dental. The DPS runs until 23 February 2029 with one extension remaining, and suppliers can apply to join while it is open.

Context & Use Case

NHS bodies and other public sector buyers use it when they want an app for a defined need, such as self-management of a long-term condition, pregnancy information or mental health support. Buyers compete requirements among qualified suppliers in the relevant category, which suits a fast-moving market where new products keep appearing.

Who Can Apply

Suits app developers and digital health companies of any size, including SMEs and start-ups with a proven product in one or more categories. As a DPS it accepts applications during its term, so suppliers can apply now. Select only the categories where your app has evidence of use and clinical value.

Buyer Benefits

Health apps can move care out of clinics and help patients manage conditions at home, but buyers need assurance before recommending one. A DPS organised by condition lets them compare suppliers in exactly the area they need, while new entrants keep the choice current.

Next Steps

Review the DPS page on the LPP website and match your products to the 25 categories. Gather evidence of clinical safety, data protection, accessibility and outcomes, then apply through LPP. Once admitted, respond quickly to call-off competitions in your categories, and check whether the remaining extension will be used when planning beyond 23 February 2029.

How Athena Can Help

App suppliers often lose marks on the compliance sections rather than on the product itself. Athena's support getting onto NHS DPSs picks the right categories for your app, writes the application, gathers the policies and evidence it needs, and compliance-checks it before submission.

When call-offs arrive, our digital health bid writers build evidence and win themes around outcomes and adoption, and our social value and compliance advice keeps each response in line with public procurement rules.
