Framework Description
The Works and Maintenance DPS is run in-house by NHS London Procurement Partnership, hosted by Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. It merges the former Minor Works DPS and Building Engineering Management agreements into one system for supplying, installing and maintaining plant and other works. It covers nine English regions plus Guernsey, the Isle of Man, Jersey, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, and runs until 23 February 2029.
Context & Use Case
NHS trusts and wider public sector bodies use it for repairs, renewals, backlog maintenance and plant installation, from small single-site jobs to larger programmes across several sites. There is no value cap on call-offs, so the same route works for a single boiler replacement or a multi-site maintenance programme across a trust's estate.
Scope of Services
More than 35 work categories across mechanical, electrical, building and specialist services Air handling units and asbestos removal Boilers and electrical installation Lifts and plumbing Roofing and water systems
Lots
Multiple work categories including air handling units, asbestos removal, boilers, electrical installation, lifts, plumbing, roofing and water systems
Who Can Apply
Suits contractors of all sizes, including SMEs and specialist firms in mechanical, electrical, building and specialist trades. The DPS is free to apply to and stays open to new applications throughout its life, so suppliers can apply now and select their work categories and regions.
Buyer Benefits
Estates teams need qualified contractors quickly for urgent repairs and planned work alike. With no value cap, more than 35 categories and wide geographic coverage, they can use one route for most works. Continuous onboarding brings in local SMEs, giving buyers more choice in each competition.
Next Steps
Apply through the LPP website, which costs nothing. Choose your work categories and regions, and have accreditations, insurance and health and safety evidence ready. LPP lets suppliers filter opportunities by geography, accreditation and work category, so set these up carefully, then watch for call-off competitions in your areas.
How Athena Can Help
This DPS is open and free to join, so the effort goes into a strong application and then winning call-offs. Athena's works DPS registration support selects your categories and regions, writes a compliant application and gathers the certificates buyers expect.
Once on, our construction bid writing produces method statements and programmes for each call-off, and our tender pricing advice for contractors helps you price to win without losing margin, whether the job is a single repair or a larger programme.
