Framework Description
The NHS Workforce Alliance Learning and Training Services DPS, listed by NHS North of England, is a dynamic purchasing system for learning and training services for NHS and wider public sector workforces. Its services are organised into four categories, and it forms part of the Workforce Alliance's Workforce Support Services package. It runs until 28 October 2028.
Context & Use Case
Trusts use it to commission training that builds staff skills and competencies at every level of the workforce. A distinctive feature is that a buyer's preferred training provider can be helped to join the DPS, so the trust can keep using that provider through a compliant route. Related support such as occupational health and HR consultancy sits in sister Workforce Alliance frameworks.

Who Can Apply
It suits colleges, universities, private training companies and specialist healthcare educators. As a DPS, it accepts new suppliers while it is open, so training providers can apply to join now; check the framework page for the current application process.
Buyer Benefits
Buyers can keep working with trusted trainers by bringing them onto the DPS, while still drawing on a wider pool for new needs. A growing supplier base keeps competition fresh, and buying training alongside other Workforce Support Services gives HR teams one familiar route for staff development.
Next Steps
Review the DPS documents on the NOE CPC page, choose the categories that match your courses, and submit a selection application with accreditations, trainer qualifications and NHS or public sector references. If a trust already uses you, ask whether it would support your application. The DPS runs to 28 October 2028, leaving time to join and compete for several rounds of requirements.
