Non Clinical Staffing (NCS)

Live

Framework Description

RM6277 Non Clinical Staffing (NCS) is the NHS Workforce Alliance framework that trusts use to hire temporary non-clinical agency workers. It has seven lots covering admin and clerical, corporate functions, IT, legal, scientific and clinical coding, and estates and ancillary roles, plus a managed service lot for master and neutral vendors. The framework ends on 24 April 2027 with no extension, so its successor is the next opportunity for agencies not already appointed. This framework is used by NHS Workforce Alliance, Crown Commercial and NHS North of England.

Context & Use Case

Trusts call off from RM6277 to cover vacancies, sickness and peaks in non-clinical work, from clerical and administrative teams to estates and facilities staff and interim managers. It gives them agency workers from a pre-approved supplier base, without running a separate tender each time a gap appears, and keeps placements within framework rates and NHS employment checks.

Lots

Who Can Apply

It suits recruitment agencies supplying non-clinical temporary workers to the NHS that can meet NHS Employment Check Standards and framework rates. New agencies cannot join this framework, as applications are closed; they should prepare for the replacement procurement expected around the 24 April 2027 end date.

Buyer Benefits

Agencies on RM6277 have already passed NHS compliance checks and work at framework rates, so trusts can place temporary staff faster and keep agency costs under control. One lot covering all non-clinical roles means a trust can use the same agreement for a receptionist or an interim estates manager.

Next Steps

Appointed agencies should keep audit and compliance records current and track fill rates as evidence. Agencies not on RM6277 should watch the NHS Workforce Alliance website for its successor and prepare vetting processes, rate cards and NHS placement case studies now, because the current agreement ends on 24 April 2027.

How Athena Can Help

Non-clinical staffing tenders are compliance-heavy and price-sensitive. Athena's public procurement bid support helps you decide whether to bid and how to price within NHS rate structures, and our framework entry specialists can prepare the compliance documents and narrative answers for the RM6277 successor.

If you already supply under the framework, our bid management experts can strengthen your responses to trust call-offs and expansion opportunities, with compliance checks and proofreading before submission.
