Framework Description
North East Lincolnshire Council's Framework Agreement for the Supply and Installation of Network Cabling and Associated Hardware appoints a provider to install voice and data cabling in council premises and supply the hardware needed. It runs to 1 June 2028, with options to extend by two further 12-month periods to 1 June 2030. It is advertised on the YORtender portal.
Context & Use Case
The council uses it when it needs new or upgraded voice and data cabling in its buildings, for example during refurbishments, office moves or network upgrades. The appointed provider installs the cabling and supplies the associated hardware, giving the council a single route and a single point of responsibility for both parts of the job.

Who Can Apply
Suits network cabling installers that can also supply hardware, with relevant certifications and public sector experience. Applications for this framework are closed, and it runs to 1 June 2028, or 2030 if extended, so other installers should prepare for the re-tender.
Buyer Benefits
The council can arrange cabling work quickly through a pre-procured provider, with installation and hardware covered together. This avoids separate procurements for each building project, keeps network standards consistent across its estate and gives one point of contact if problems arise.
Next Steps
Installers should plan for the re-tender around 1 June 2028, or 2030 if both extensions are used, and register on YORtender, the portal this framework was advertised on, so you see the council's notices. Gather case studies of public sector cabling installations now.
