Framework Description
Northern Housing Consortium is procuring the Furniture Services Framework 27–31, a planned agreement for furniture and supportive goods, works and services for people at home, in work or in community settings. It will cover manufacture and supply through to delivery, installation, repair, recycling and redistribution, with lease and purchase options. It will not accept new applications once awarded, so the tender is the way in.
Context & Use Case
NHC members, mainly social landlords and other housing bodies, will use it to provide furniture and goods for residents in their homes and in employment and community settings. It is designed to give them one route for buying, customising, maintaining and finally recycling or redistributing items, rather than separate contracts for each stage of a product's life.

Who Can Apply
Suits furniture manufacturers, suppliers and furniture service providers that deliver to housing sector specifications, including those offering repair, reuse or leasing. The framework is at the pre-tender stage, so suppliers should prepare their bid now rather than wait for the tender to open.
Buyer Benefits
Housing providers need furniture that arrives and is installed quickly, stands up to heavy use and can be repaired or recycled at the end of its life. Covering the whole cycle, with a choice of lease or purchase, lets members pick a funding model that fits their budgets and support residents without running their own tenders.
Next Steps
Watch NHC's framework solutions page for the tender notice. Prepare now: product ranges and specifications, delivery and installation coverage for the areas you serve, repair and recycling processes, and housing sector case studies. If you offer leasing, have the commercial model worked out before the tender opens.
