Framework Description
Nottingham City Council runs this DPS for ultra-low emission (ULEV) and hybrid vehicles and their spare parts. It is open to buyers beyond the council, including other local authorities, the NHS, schools and emergency services. Eight lots cover everything from scooters to 32-tonne goods vehicles, with no limit on suppliers per lot. Advertised as Find a Tender notice 009312-2024, it runs until 31 May 2034.
Context & Use Case
Public bodies moving away from petrol and diesel fleets use the DPS to buy low-emission vehicles without running their own full procurement. Needs range from pool cars and wheelchair-accessible vehicles to vans, minibuses, road sweepers, heavy goods vehicles and buses. Each order is competed among the suppliers admitted to the relevant lot, so buyers see current prices on the models that suit them.

Who Can Apply
Manufacturers, dealers, converters and parts suppliers able to supply ULEV or hybrid vehicles. The DPS is live and takes applications at any time, and suppliers can apply for one lot or all eight. Smaller specialists, such as WAV converters or electric scooter suppliers, can compete by joining a single lot.
Buyer Benefits
Buyers get a ready-vetted route to low-emission vehicles that works for organisations well beyond Nottingham. Competing each order among admitted suppliers gives up-to-date prices in a fast-moving vehicle market, and the spare parts lot lets fleets keep vehicles on the road without a separate procurement.
