Framework Description
Procurement for Housing (PfH) runs the Fire Safety Works framework to give social housing landlords a vetted supply chain for fire safety remediation. It covers active and passive fire protection, fire doors, cladding and whole-building works, with 41 appointed suppliers across eleven lots. Works lots come in two value bands (£0–3m and £2m+), and fire doors are split between contractor and manufacturer routes. The agreement ends on 9 December 2027 with no extension.
Context & Use Case
Housing associations, councils and other PfH members call off from it when they need to fix fire safety defects or upgrade buildings, from replacing a block's fire doors to a full remediation programme. The value bands mean a landlord with a modest job and one running a multi-million-pound cladding replacement can each go to a lot sized for their scheme, with suppliers already vetted for the work type.
Scope of Services
Active fire safety works (£0–3m and £2m+ lots) Passive fire safety works (£0–3m and £2m+ lots) Fire doors: contractor supply and install Fire doors: manufacturer supply and install, or supply only Cladding (£0–3m and £2m+ lots) Whole building works (£0–3m and £2m+ lots)

Who Can Apply
Suits fire protection contractors, fire door manufacturers and installers, cladding remediation specialists and main contractors able to run whole-building programmes. Applications for this framework are closed, so suppliers not already appointed cannot join now. The next chance is the re-tender, which should come around the 9 December 2027 end date.
Buyer Benefits
Landlords can match a lot to both the type of fire safety work and the size of the job, rather than tendering each block separately. Separate manufacturer and contractor routes for fire doors let them buy direct from the factory or through an installer, and the whole-building lots suit schemes where several fire safety defects need fixing under one contract.
Next Steps
If you hold a place, keep your lot details and certifications current with PfH and have case studies ready for member call-offs. If you don't, use the time before 9 December 2027 to prepare for the re-tender: gather fire safety projects by value band, check your certifications are in date, and watch the PfH Fire Safety Works page for market engagement notices.
How Athena Can Help
For appointed suppliers, Athena helps win PfH call-offs: our bid management team builds win themes, scores your likely response against competing fire safety contractors and sets pricing that holds margin on remediation work.
If you missed this round, we can start planning for the re-tender now with bid/no-bid advice, then handle the full submission through our registration and application service, including the case studies, policies and certificates that fire safety lots call for.
