Framework Description
Heating Solutions is a Procurement for Housing framework for the installation, servicing, repair and maintenance of heating systems in domestic and commercial settings. It has 32 accredited national and regional suppliers across three lots: domestic heating, commercial heating, and a combined domestic and commercial lot. The agreement runs until 31 July 2027 and has no extension.
Context & Use Case
Housing providers use it to keep residents' homes warm and safe, from boiler replacement programmes to servicing contracts for communal plant and offices. Members can make a direct award or run a mini-competition among suppliers in the relevant lot, choosing a national or regional contractor depending on where their housing stock is.
Scope of Services
Lot 1: Domestic heating Lot 2: Commercial heating Lot 3: Domestic and commercial heating Installation, servicing, repair and maintenance across all lots
Lots
Lot 1 Domestic Heating; Lot 2 Commercial Heating; Lot 3 Domestic and Commercial Heating
Who Can Apply
Gas Safe registered heating engineers and contractors with installation and maintenance capability, whether regional or national. Applications for this framework are closed. With an end date of 31 July 2027 and no extension, the re-tender is the next opportunity, and it is less than a year away.
Buyer Benefits
Members can choose direct award when speed matters and mini-competition for planned replacement programmes. Separate domestic and commercial lots match the supplier to the plant involved, and the mix of national and regional contractors lets landlords choose local response or a single provider across a dispersed stock. Accreditation checks are already done.
Next Steps
Incumbents should prepare for both routes: keep pricing ready for direct awards and a reusable mini-competition response for planned work. Everyone else should start re-tender preparation now, as the framework ends on 31 July 2027. Collect Gas Safe and installer certificates and heating case studies split by domestic and commercial, and watch the PfH Heating Solutions page for engagement and tender notices.
