Framework Description
Procurement for Housing's Responsive Repairs, Voids and Associated Works DPS is a Dynamic Purchasing System for reactive maintenance and void work in social housing. It is organised by trade across five lots: full-service multi-discipline provision, general repairs and joinery, plumbing and heating, electrical, and specialist works. It already holds several hundred contractors and stays open to new applicants while it is live.
Context & Use Case
Housing providers use it in two ways: to top up their own direct labour teams when demand peaks or a trade is short, or to outsource reactive maintenance entirely to a multi-discipline contractor. Each requirement is competed among the contractors admitted to the relevant lot, so a landlord needing an electrician for void rewires can go straight to Lot 4.
Scope of Services
Lot 1: Full-service/multi-discipline provision Lot 2: General repairs and joinery Lot 3: Plumbing and heating Lot 4: Electrical Lot 5: Specialist works
Lots
Lot 1 Full-service/Multi-Discipline Provision; Lot 2 General Repairs and Joinery; Lot 3 Plumbing and Heating; Lot 4 Electrical; Lot 5 Specialist Works
Who Can Apply
Open to repairs and maintenance contractors of any size, from single-trade firms in joinery, plumbing, heating or electrical work to multi-discipline contractors able to take on a whole repairs service. Suppliers can apply to join now; check the PfH DPS page for its closing date.
Buyer Benefits
Trade-based lots let landlords buy exactly the skill they are short of rather than a whole repairs contract, while Lot 1 suits those ready to outsource. A large and growing pool gives good local coverage and competitive prices, and because the DPS keeps admitting contractors, buyers are not tied to a supplier list fixed years earlier.
Next Steps
Pick the lots that match your trades; single-trade firms should apply for their own trade lot rather than stretch to multi-discipline. Apply through the PfH Responsive Repairs, Voids and Associated Works DPS page with insurance, health and safety, financial and trade accreditation evidence ready. Once admitted, watch for competitions from members in your area and respond quickly.
How Athena Can Help
Joining this DPS is the quickest route into PfH repairs work for contractors without a place on a repairs framework that is closed to new applications. Athena's DPS registration support picks the right trade lots, completes the selection questions and checks the application before submission.
Every call-off is then a competition. Athena's bid writing for call-offs gives you a reusable library of repairs and voids answers, and our public sector pricing advice helps you quote rates that win and still pay.
